VTCRC Special Interest Group members experience networking at its best! They stay informed, access resources, develop professional skills, and ensure their company's success by joining other senior leaders in VTCRC Special Interest Group meetings and events.

In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, VTCRC Special Interest Groups kick off each year with an all inclusive joint session. Members from all VTCRC SIGs are invited to explore a topic that is applicable to everyone such as strategic thinking, the topic for 2009.

VTCRC Special Interest Groups close each year of informative programming with a networking social. Potential members can meet seasoned members in an informal setting. Established members can further develop newly forged relationships and connect with professionals in complimentary professions and positions within different VTCRC Special Interest Groups.

IT Special Interest Groups - Open to CRC tenants and tenant employees involved in information technology functions. The CRC will provide lunch.

Topic: Scrum

Scrum is an agile framework encouraging an iterative, incremental approach to project management, and an ideal structure for managing software development efforts. While not limited to software projects, Scrum projects implement agile values following a Plan/Do/Check/Adjust (PDCA) methodology, improving the process along the way.

Used correctly, Scrum often helps:
(1) speed up deliveries of usable software
(2) focus on high value priorities
(3) support changes
(4) emphasize collaboration
(5) improve team efficiency
